PDA Series: Pop-Up Libraries: Totally Worth It! Online
Session Details:
In this presentation learn how a pop-up library can be used as an outreach approach to cultivate a welcoming community. Learn how partnerships and targeted outreach opportunities can help customize the pop-up library experience and work to your advantage. Pop-up libraries are great ways to highlight collections, showcase a variety of services, and facilitate opportunities to engage with the library in a low-stress, inviting way.
Presenters:
Camielle Crampsie
Camielle is the Marketing and Outreach Librarian at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg. Her interests include encouraging student engagement from academic support to holistic student support. She develops programs and initiatives that promote library services and resources while also fostering a sense of community and support for students. When not at the library, she can usually be found reading a book, experimenting in the kitchen, or exploring a new park or botanical garden.
Natalie Boulanger
Natalie is the STEAM and Data Visualization Librarian at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg. Some of her work-related interests include creating unique visuals in a variety of formats, exploring new tools, deconstructing data visualization to help folks grasp the meaning and purpose, incorporating zines into librarian work, and meeting the needs of all library users. Outside of the library she enjoys getting outside, collaging, exploring new (or old) museums, starting puzzles, and hanging out with her cat, Bennie.
