Macalester College Library
Madisen Egan started working in Access Services at Macalester College while earning her MLIS from the University of Washington, and never left. Now in her tenth year, she serves as Access Services Manager, overseeing two staff members and co-supervising around fifty student employees at the Library's main service desk. She leads efforts to keep the desk running smoothly, efficiently, and equitably, and has helped develop training programs to support student learning and growth. Madisen is passionate about uplifting student voices, empowering student workers, and building community. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, volunteering at her local art house cinema, playing video games, and dominating at bar trivia.
