Description: Anyone who works in libraries (public, private, academic, special, archives, etc.) should attend this lively and engaging session! Prepare to laugh as you learn!  If you are passionate about libraries and want to learn more as to how to increase donor philanthropic support for your library/archive, then this is the session for you!

Attendees will leave the session armed with easy to implement tips/suggestions to take their library fundraising efforts to the next level. Previous library outreach/fundraising experience is NOT Required! Topics discussed will include ways to identify potential donors; best practices for keeping current donors engaged; ways to better engaging your Friends of the Library Board to increase their giving; why promoting planned giving is important and how you can easily do that for your library; and how to promote library philanthropy/funding priorities consistently via your newsletters, e-communications, social media, etc.

Dwain Teague - Executive Director, Johnston Community College Foundation

Dwain Posey Teague serves as the Executive Director of the Johnston Community College Foundation (Smithfield, NC). Prior to assuming this role, Dwain held positions managing fundraising for academic libraries and School of Library and Information Sciences fundraising at the following: North Carolina Central University; the University of Central Florida; North Carolina State University; East Carolina University; and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
